Recap for Tilos Rádió Marathon in Glasgow
Mana Mana Records x Whole Beats – Beatspotting @Bloc+

A Night of Freedom’s Small Circles and International Connections – A ‘Tilos Party’ in Glasgow, An Alternative Hungarian Gathering in Scotland
On June 11, 2025, a historic moment took place: the Whole Beats collective organized the very first Tilos Rádió Branch-Marathon in Scotland – and in the entire United Kingdom – following the precedent set by Berlin in 2024. The event was held at the Bloc+ club in Glasgow and is considered historic for several reasons:
It was the first-ever Tilos Marathon event in the UK and Scotland.
It marked the live debut of both Mana Mana Records and Beatinspector in Glasgow.
The Whole Beats collective physically put itself on the map after its online launch in 2024.
The organizers envisioned the event as an alternative Hungarian party, courageously addressing a smaller Hungarian diaspora while simultaneously expanding its wings through the underground music scene, appealing to a niche audience. The six-hour DJ opera proved successful, with the slogan "music is medicine, music is power, music brings us together" resonating throughout the night, elevating niche music into a form of artistic self-expression.
A Decentralized Spirit with a Free-Workshop Approach
The organizers embraced the free-workshop ethos characteristic of Tilos Rádió, and brought the event to life through a decentralized effort, drawing from the energy of the local diaspora without the gravitational pull of main radio leadership. Special thanks to Tilos Rádió for:
Officially endorsing the event and including it in the station’s news feed
Providing an opportunity for a live broadcast interview on the day of the event
Featuring an ad-hoc group interview as part of the Tilos Marathon broadcast package:

This collaboration clearly shows that Tilos Rádió is not just a radio station – it is a living network and cultural institution capable of making its voice heard across borders, continents, centering freedom, creativity, and independent thinking.
The support from Bloc+ was instrumental in bringing this event to life. Theservice and technical staff were exceptionally welcoming and hands-on, making a real difference throughout the night. We’re especially proud that the Whole Beats collective made its in-person debut in a venue full of spirit and openness. Many thanks for the joint efforts of both the management and marketing teams.
The positive energy in the room, and the visible joy shared by artists, guests, and staff alike, made everything feel worthwhile.
Even ScotRail found the event noteworthy and listed it on their website.
We hope to be back with you again next year!
